about us

We are the Gildemeisters. We are scheme-minded individuals who have always been trying to find the next venture. From building a business from the ground up or purchasing an existing business and overhauling their processes we have done it all.

Over the years, we’ve independently launched and grown a wedding photography, a coffee shop, a food truck, residential and commercial rentals, and boat rental businesses. At the same time, we have acquired and expanded a bakery, two coffee shops, a movie theater, and an advertising business.

We know firsthand the challenges of starting a business from scratch, securing funding, scaling operations, and managing multiple ventures—all while balancing marriage and entrepreneurship.

That’s why we created the Gildemeisters—a blog dedicated to sharing real-world business lessons, startup strategies, and behind-the-scenes insights to help aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and side hustlers grow their own ventures.

about the blog

This blog will focus on two key areas, our entrepreneurial journey and help guide you through your entrepreneurial journey.

We will share the highs, lows, and unfiltered realities of running businesses—including our biggest mistakes, successes, lessons learned, and what we’d do differently and provide step-by-step guides, financial strategies, and growth tactics for small business owners.

Whether you’re launching your first startup, expanding your side hustle, or looking for ways to grow your existing business, our goal is to provide real, actionable insights—not just theory.

why us

  • We’ve Built Multiple Businesses – From service-based (photography) to brick-and-mortar (coffee shops, theater) to rentals, we’ve done it all.
  • We Started With Nothing – No family money, no trust fund—just loans, investors, and a relentless work ethic.
  • We’ve Made (and Learned From) Every Mistake – We don’t sugarcoat the struggles of entrepreneurship.

We are the Gildemeisters
